KDP asks every book whether AI tools created any of its text, images or translations.
- AI-generated means an AI tool made it, even if you edited it a lot afterwards. KDP asks you to say so.
- AI-assisted means you made it and used AI tools only to edit, refine or check it. KDP doesn't ask about this; the studio keeps it on record for you.
Answer once per edition. The kit turns your answers into the choices to make in KDP, and the other stores' kits use them too. Each store draws the line in its own place: the AI disclosure guide says what KDP, Apple Books and the others ask.
What you need: to know how the text, the images (the cover included) and, for a translated edition, the translation were made.
What you get: the answers for KDP's form, kept with the edition.
