Your team is everyone who works on your books with you. You invite each person by email, in a role, and they join with the link in the invitation. They work in your account: your plan and your Studio credit.
- Roles. A co-author writes and publishes the books with you. An editor edits the editions' text. A translator translates and edits the editions you give them. A proofreader reads and comments. A designer works on covers and formats. A client, for a press's client workspace, reads and comments. Only you, the owner, invite people, manage the plan and pay.
- Every edition, or some. Give someone every edition, or only the ones they work on. Someone given some editions sees only those books, reads every edition of them (a translator reads the original), and changes only their own: the book itself (its settings, covers, page and story bible, editions added or taken away) stays with you and the members on every edition.
- Inviting. Type their email address and choose the role and editions. They get an email with a link that lasts 14 days: they sign in with that address, or create their account with it, and join. While the studio is in its private beta, the same email lets them create an account.
- Seats. The Author plan includes one team member besides you, the Publisher plan five. On the Publisher plan you can add seats in Plans and billing, at the price on the pricing page, renewing with the plan. A seat is a person's, whatever workspaces they're in, and clients take none. An invitation still open takes a seat until it's taken, withdrawn or expires. If your plan ends or moves down, or you take seats away, members keep their seats in the order they joined; anyone past the seats can look but not change anything until you make room or add seats.
- Changing your mind. Change someone's role or editions at any time, withdraw an invitation, or remove a member. Anyone can leave a team they were invited to.
- More than one team. Someone invited into another team picks the team they're working in above the menu.
