On the book's page, Make the package gathers everything the studio keeps for the book into one ZIP:
- each edition's manuscript: the EPUB the studio builds from, and the Word document or other file it was made from
- the newest ebook, print files and covers that passed their checks, as the stores take them
- the cover artwork and the emblem, as you uploaded them
- each edition's store details: its title, description, keywords and the rest, and the KDP kit on the Author plan
- every setting the files were made with, in book.json: each format's trim, paper, type style and look, the ISBNs, the AI-use answers, the cover design and the story bible
- the book's numbered versions with their notes, the editions each changed, and the version each edition's copyright page names
Its README lists what's there, says which files are out of date, and gives the steps to make each file again, in the studio or with other tools. Keep it as a backup, or take your book elsewhere: it's free on every plan.
The newest package is kept until you make another, or delete the book or one of its editions. Files that didn't pass their checks aren't in it, and neither are changes in the manuscript editor that aren't saved as a version.
