A hardcover's cover wraps around boards, so it is larger than the paperback's: the boards are a little bigger than the pages, the cover folds 15 mm around them, and text keeps clear of the hinges. Choose Hardcover in the cover editor and it uses these sizes; your artwork sits on the boards the way it sits on the paperback.
