Fixed book prices in the Netherlands: what self-publishers need to know

The Netherlands' fixed book price law covers printed books in Dutch and Frisian. Here is what it asks of you as the publisher, and what KDP asks.

The facts

The rule
For printed books in Dutch or Frisian you set the price and report it to the Commissariaat voor de Media. It can change every six months, and the fixed price can end after a year.

What KDP asks
Where a fixed book price law applies, KDP asks you to set the same list price at every retailer, and to tell the authorities where the law requires it.
