Fixed book prices in Poland: a draft, no law yet

Poland has no fixed book price law yet, but a government draft would bring one in.

The facts

The rule
No fixed price law yet. The Ministry of Culture's draft would fix the price of a new book for 12 months from its release, ebooks and audiobooks included. On 21 September 2026 the ministry asked for it to be added to the government's list of planned laws; public consultation starts once the Government Legislation Centre publishes the text.
